RECIPES WITH MILK
Spiced French toast
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20-25 minutes
INGREDIENTS (for 4 slices)
100 ml STAMOU fresh cow’s milk
2 large eggs
3-4 tbsp butter
2 tsp spice mix (cinnamon, cloves, ginger)
8 slices of sourdough bread (slightly stale)
4 tbsp maple syrup or honey
120 g STAMOU Plousio yoghurt
Juice and zest of ½ an orange
Seasonal fruits for serving
METHOD
- Beat the eggs in a bowl and add the milk and spices.
- Heat butter in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Dip the bread slices in the egg and milk mixture for 1-2 minutes and drain slightly.
- Fry the bread slices one at a time for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Top with seasonal fruits and drizzle with maple syrup.
- Mix the yoghurt with the orange juice and zest and serve with the French toast slices.
