Hot sandwich with sliced goat cheese, pastrami & fig jam

Hot sandwich with sliced goat cheese, pastrami & fig jam

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 8 minutes

INGREDIENTS (serves 4 people)

8 slices of sourdough bread
80 g butter (room temperature)
4 tsp dijon mustard
12 slices of goat cheese STAMOU
4 slices pastrami (or another deli meat)
4 tbsp fig or tomato jam

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Spread butter on all slices of bread and Dijon mustard on half of them.
  3. Layer the goat cheese slices, pastrami, and fig jam on the mustard-coated slices.
  4. Top with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
  5. Spread the rest of the butter on the outside of the sandwiches and bake for 8 minutes, until golden and crispy, and the cheese has melted.

Tip: Serve with a green salad for a perfectly balanced meal!
