RECIPES WITH MILK
Zucchini pie with trahana (without pastry)
Preparation time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 45-50 minutes
INGREDIENTS (serves 6-8 people)
400 ml STAMOU fresh cow’s milk
2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
80 g butter
350 g grated and strained zucchini
300 g flour
120 g sour trahana
3 eggs, beaten
250 g feta, crumbled
3-4 tablespoons of mint, finely chopped
Salt and freshly ground pepper
METHOD
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Oil an approx. 26cm round baking pan.
- Add the milk, eggs, melted butter, flour and trahana to a bowl and mix together.
- Add the grated zucchini, feta, mint, salt & pepper to the mixture.
- Mix carefully and add the mixture to the baking pan.
- Flatten mixture with a spatula and pour olive oil on top.
- Bake for approximately 45 minutes until golden.
