Flavoured Butter

Flavoured Butter

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooling time: 1-2 hours

Butter with smoked paprika

INGREDIENTS (for 1 stick)

85g butter
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp chili flakes
Zest of 1 lime

Butter with garlic and herbs

INGREDIENTS (for 1 stick)

85g butter
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 sprig of fresh rosemary, finely chopped
1 sprig of fresh oregano, finely chopped
1 small bunch of fresh basil, finely chopped
Zest of 1 lemon
Salt and pepper

Butter with mustard and honey

INGREDIENTS (for 1 stick)

85g butter
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp mustard with seeds
1 tbsp classic yellow mustard
Salt and pepper

For serving
Sourdough bread

METHOD

  1. Leave the butter to soften at room temperature. Cut into thirds, then stir each third in a separate bowl with a wooden spoon, until fluffy.
  2. Add the ingredients for each separate flavoured butter and mix.
  3. Place on baking paper and roll into the shape of candy, twisting the two ends of the paper to seal the roll.
  4. Place the sticks in the fridge for 1 hour until firm.
  5. Serve with fresh sourdough bread.

Tip: The sticks may be preserved for up to 1 month, wrapped in the fridge.
