Feta "saganaki" with honey

INGREDIENTS (serves 4 people)

4 pieces STAMOU feta PDO (100g per piece)
2 eggs, beaten
3 tablespoons of flour
4 tablespoons of sesame and black cumin (optional)
Crushed red pepper (optional)
Honey to serve

METHOD

  1. Sprinkle flour on the pieces of feta.
  2. Dip the feta pieces, one by one, into the beaten eggs and lightly drain.
  3. Mix the sesame seeds and black cumin and dip the feta pieces in the mixture.
  4. Fry the feta on a medium to high heat for 3 minutes on each side, until a crust forms.
  5. Drizzle the honey over the feta and sprinkle with crushed red pepper.

* “Saganaki” is a Greek word used for pan-seared cheese.
